That means that some may feel that they have or need to resort to crime to survive. I realize we are in a deficit and yeah, not everybody that's still on unemployment has been diligently searching for a job. But there are those who are and really need the money until something comes along.

Unfortunately, in my area, it's already happening.  I watched the news this morning and the pizza man was robbed, not only for his money but for his pizza too.  Kids were hungry!  What do you think adults will do?  Well, again in my area, it seems there is a bank robbery every week, this week an elderly woman was murdered, and the police are not sure of the motive.  There’s been whatever they aren't reporting like hold ups at the bus stop, break-ins in the impoverished neighborhoods, car thefts and various other crimes on this or that side of the city and not just my city.

Do you see it in your area? Do you think crime is increasing due to unemployment benefit depletion?

The men went in rob the house but when the police arrived the family reported that nothing was taken except the food out the kitchen. If this extension is not passed and due to the holiday season and people looking into their children watery eyes...What do you think will happen. Crime, Murder, Theft, Burglary, etc. will all be the next option for most. It's so sad but TRUE!

Awesome Hub! I rated it up a notch! Keep on writing! I pray that they do extend the benefits. They just passed another Small Business Tax Bill - Do they not realize that Small Business employs over 50% of Americas workers? A Better Question is "Do they really care?" Answer is = Apparently not!
