Simply Beautiful! Forgiveness
64
You have to be forgiving to be forgiven. Sometimes all it takes is a little quote or something someone says to trigger you to think about your own actions, feelings, and how you handle them.
Not everyone is good at being forgiving. As a matter of fact, I must say that I was one of the world’s worst. As I truly believe in deleting people, when I have decided they are no longer worthy of my circle.
Quote: "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." -Mahatma Gandhi
That quote hit me hard. I’ve since learned that the best thing to do is to let haters hate. After all, they only hurt themselves, as all hate does is eat away at the person doing the hating, they can’t stop it. But you can! The other person gets the effects in so many ways that you need not react at all.
Quote: "Some people think it's holding that makes one strong—sometimes it's letting go." -Unknown
LOVE is strong. If you’re spiritual or religious, you know it’s a big one and one of the fruitages of the spirit. It can make the difference when you are working to make changes in your life, which is already not the easiest task in the world.
Quote: “You cannot make yourself feel something you do not feel, but you can make yourself do right in spite of your feelings.” ~Pearl S. Buck
I always share my experiences in the hopes of benefiting others who may be going through similar plights. For years now, I’ve been receiving phone calls and the person never says a word, even called my job, but I’ve done some digging myself, because private investigation works more than one way and for more than one person, so I’m quite sure when I say that I know exactly who it is and even surer when I say it no longer bothers me. I’m learning something different and let’s face it; she would swear it’s not her anyway, as most stalkers would.
Quote: "If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape one hundred days of sorrow." -Chinese Proverb
In speaking with others, clients and non-clients, I find I’m not alone. There are so many young girls and surprisingly women too, that has endured or is now enduring the same thing. So my goal is to stress this forgiveness thing. Let them do what they do but without affecting you. Your main goal should be forgiveness, not for them but for your own sanity. PERIOD. You’ll notice the difference. You will not be mad when you see them calling, won’t even hit ignore, just keep it moving. That’s their cross to bare!
Quote: “I know but one freedom and that is the freedom of the mind.” ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Therefore, my word for today is FORGIVENESS! There's nothing like reaching it and you will find that the rest just doesn't matter.

If someone hurt me very bad I think it is hard to forgive them. It takes some time at least. Luckily that hasn't happened more than a couple of times and the wounds are healing with time. Great article and your thoughts and the quotes are thought-provoking!
Voted up and awesome!
I love this hub, I have learned that forgiveness has always been a Blessing to my life, without it I would be a bitter old hag. Instead I am full of God's peace and joy. Thank You For this hub, Write On!

Good quotes and very true, When we forgive we become stronger, more free, more able to love. To let go of fear, revenge, hatred is lifegiving.

A very clear, excellent article. I totally enjoyed the Chinese proverb about avoiding 100 days of sorrow by being patient in one moment of anger. Well done. Thank you. Daniel Peebles

Good Hub - I appreciate your thoughts. The first person you have to forgive is yourself! Love Yourself as you are.
Love Gandhi's quote - "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." Also “I know but one freedom and that is the freedom of the mind.” ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery
