The Light Shines

When you love who you are and you're feeling secure

That's when the light shines

When you are jealous of nothing and appreciative of lifes trials and contributions

That's when the light shines

When the times seem bleek and you can find the positive in the negative no matter what

That's when the light shines

When you truly express the love for thy neighbor and extend it to others with no prerequisites

That's when the light shines

When you are respectful of others, inspirational and truest in word, deed, and heart

That's when the light shines

When not a day goes by when you are not accomplishing something positive

That's when the light shines

When you realize that you're just as beautiful in mind body and spirit as the next person

That's when the light shines

When you can see things for what they are without subtraction or exaggeration

That's when the light shines

For if we are not able to appreciate what we have, where we are, and what we are capable of then there can be no light and therefore no shine.

So pay attention ladies and appreciate ALL that you have to offer. It's wayyyyyy more than you give yourself credit for but once you notice it.

Ahhhhhhhhh yes. No one can take it away.

And, that's when your light will shine!
